National Award Winning Wedding Artist |
 |
In 2006 AnnMarie was rated
the highest in portfolio and biography in the United
States as determined by www.WeddingPhotographyDirectory.com.
AnnMarie Sciascia’s love of photography began
in the early 1980’s. She bought a 35mm camera
and began photographing her children and family events.
As God would have it, one day a friend asked her to
assist at a wedding. AnnMarie had no idea she would
be documenting memories of someone’s special
day; however, her work was so impressive, the bride
purchased seven of her photographs for her wedding
album. Loving the experience tremendously, AnnMarie
immediately began to study photography and continued
to second photograph weddings. By her third wedding,
a bride chose one of AnnMarie’s images for her
thank you cards.
Opportunities just seemed to come her way and AnnMarie
partook in all of them. In her first year, Master
Photographer, Bob Kahn chose AnnMarie to shoot second
camera for him. Bob is the only photographer to date
to attain his Master’s Degree from the Professional
Photographer Association of America, with images that
were shot on the wedding day. He has taught lighting
and posing all over the country his bridal portraits
are his trademark in the industry.
AnnMarie studied consistently, with Master Photographer
Hanson Fong and Master, Craftsman and Certified Photographer
Ken Sklute who had been Wedding Photographer of the
Year numerous times. AnnMarie was chosen to receive
a National Scholarship from the Professional Photographers
Association of America to Study with internationally
renowned Master and Certified Photographers, Louise
and Joseph Simone. The Simone’s have taught,
“Unveiling the Spirit within” all over
the world. AnnMarie’s dream is to capture that
"spirit within" so that generations may
come know their family history more intimately.
In 2003, AnnMarie entered competition for the first
time and received three National Blue Ribbons for
portrait and wedding images and in 2006 she received
a fourth Blue Ribbon. In 2004, she began a formal
college education in the technology of photography
and in the same year earned her Certification from
the Professional Photographer Association of America.
AnnMarie earned this designation after meeting rigorous
requirements measuring her artistic, technical, ethical
and business competence. The PPA Certification is
held by fewer than 2,500 photographers worldwide and
less than five percent of photographers in America
have attained this certification.
AnnMarie received three endorsements
from the
Professional Photographers Association of America

| NEW YORK, NOVEMBER 14, 2006 –
The Empire State Building lit the New York skyline
in the traditional baby colors of pink & blue
for the 4th Annual March of Dimes Prematurity
Awareness Day (PAD). The lighting was held to
bring awareness to the growing crisis of premature
birth, which has increased by more than 30 percent
since 1983 and is now the number one killer of
newborns. For more, please click
